This freelance project began as a commission to create a stylised shotgun model for an FPS game. While it started as a modelling task, the scope quickly expanded to a full first-person game-ready asset. I created high and low poly meshes in Maya, developed multiple materials in Substance Painter to match the stylised aesthetic, and built the accompanying first-person arms mesh.
From there, I rigged the shotgun and arms in Maya and used MotionBuilder to animate a complete set of first-person actions, including firing, reloading, walking, and idle states. This process gave me the opportunity to take the asset all the way from concept through to a fully game-ready piece, optimised and ready for integration into the client’s project.
