Elemental Canvas is a VR project I led from initial concept to completion, built around the theme “One with the Elements.” My vision was to create an experience where players use hand-drawn elemental symbols to interact with the world, causing dynamic reactions that restore colour to an otherwise desaturated environment.
The core mechanic combines intuitive VR gesture input with a responsive painting system, letting players draw fire, water, earth, and air symbols that directly influence objects and environments. Each interaction contributes to revitalising the world, reinforcing the idea of connection between creativity, nature, and the elements.
As project lead, I oversaw both the design and implementation process, focusing particularly on the technical side. This project allowed me to highlight my skills with shaders and visual effects, especially in achieving the selective colour aesthetic and the seamless blending of monochrome and vivid environments.
The final experience blends artistry and interactivity, offering players a visually striking and immersive way to bring life back to the world through elemental creativity.
